In a little over a week, I, along with Mike and my friend, will be headed to Europe on what seems like a world tour. While there, we’ll be visiting Reykjavik, Amsterdam, Prague, and Paris. As you could imagine, there are a lot of details to keep track of for this trip, and the idea of doing so became very overwhelming to me. I know I’m going to all of these cities, but at this moment I can’t tell you exact details about the flights, where I’m staying, or rental car info. I was talking to my friend who suggested I download this free travel app called Tripcase to organize all of my trip details. I did, and it completely saved my life!
I downloaded Tripcase from the App Store (also available in Google Play) and signed up using my Facebook login. Tripcase will use the email you use to login into Facebook as your primary email address. Since I don’t use my email account associated with my Facebook for booking travel, I had to add a new email address to my profile which is the email I primarily book travel with. Then, I simply emailed all of my confirmation emails for my flights, lodging, and rental car to email@example.com. Since Tripcase recognized my email address, it pulled all of the necessary details from those confirmation emails I sent and organized them into “Trips” for me in my account.
Since I’m visiting so many cities, Tripcase didn’t combine them into one big Europe trip, which I actually don’t mind. It recognized the different dates and created a Reykjavik trip, a Prague Trip, and so on. I did notice that some of the details weren’t completely combined into one trip. For example, Tripcase included my flight and hotel bookings into one Reykjavik trip, but didn’t include my rental car. Luckily, Tripcase gives you the option to combine trips and rename them.
One thing I love about Tripcase is while you can revise and make edits to your trips on the app, you can also do the same edits on their website via your computer. The website is actually where you would make changes to your profile, such as adding email addresses. Everything that’s done on the website will instantly translate into the app.
Another thing I love about this app is when you swipe through the details of your trips, Tripcase provides additional information, such as flight status and gate information, current and upcoming weather conditions, the address of your lodging and the option to get directions there, the ability to request an Uber, and a listing of things to do and restaurants in the city you’re staying in. It’s just so helpful to have all of this information in one app!
I now use this easy to use app faithfully to keep all of my itineraries organized. The fact that it’s so much more than an organizer is a BIG plus for me. There’s no need to log into other apps on my phone because Tripcase basically gives me all of the information I need to prepare for upcoming trips. I highly recommend this app for those who travel often or those who just like to stay organized. It’s so awesome!
