My daily beauty regimen is pretty basic, but I do put considerable effort into maintaining healthy skin. One aspect of my skincare regimen is doing a weekly mask—typically on Sundays—with the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. It’s so amazing and has so many other great uses that you should definitely getchu some. Seriously. I bought it from Vitamin Shoppe for only $8, but you can get it from my Amazon shop with my fave products for $7.67!
What is Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay?
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay is 100% natural calcium bentonite (green) clay, which has properties that draw toxins and impurities from the body. It’s also great for treating acne and eczema. Because of these natural benefits, the use of bentonite clay is ideal for facial and body masks. When mixed with water and applied to the face, the bentonite clay tightens and begins forcing out toxins, giving a deep pore treatment.
How I use the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
I have been using the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay as part of my skincare regimen for a few months now. Check out the facial I do weekly below.
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, 1 tablespoon of Bragg’s apple cider vinegar (ACV), and 1 teaspoon of organic raw honey
I typically mix these ingredients together in a plastic cup with my finger to keep me from having to wash unnecessary dishes, but for blog purposes, I used my cute little orange bowl. I still mix up the ingredients with my finger though. It’s just easier, especially since I end up using my finger to apply the mask. Anyway, the texture of mixture is light and foamy.
Then, I apply the facial all over my face and chin, leaving it on for about 15-20 minutes. During this time, I can feel the mask gradually tighten like a mug. This is when all of the toxins and impurities are removed.
After rinsing with warm water, my face feels soft and not as dry as it would be if I didn’t include the raw honey in the mixture. Although my face doesn’t feel like the desert, it sure gets ashy after it dries. At that point, I just add a little coconut oil to my face to give it some life.
If you are looking for an inexpensive natural facial mask, I highly suggest purchasing the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I can honestly say I’ve experienced less acne and an overall healthy appearance in my skin since I’ve incorporated this product into my facial regimen. There are also other great uses for this product, such as clarifying hair, but I haven’t tried them as of now. If you are using the product only for your face, you will go forever without having to purchase more.
